Staging the EIA process
The environmental impact assessment applies to
- buildings, facilities, activities and technologies defined in Annex 1 to EIA ACT,
- changes of projects according to the previous point if they meet the parameters according to Annex 1 to EIA ACT,
- projects that do not reach the parameters defined in Annex 1 to EIA ACT, as determined by the competent authority in the inquiry procedure (the so-called below-limit projects)
- projects for which the nature conservation authority did not exclude a significant negative impact on the Natura 2000 system (see Chapter 10).
The EIA process can be briefly described using the following sequence:
- Notification,
- Fact-Finding Procedure,
- EIA report,
- Expert Review,
- Public Hearing,
- Statement on EIA
